Issue:
If you have received a message from Verizon stating that they will be blocking outbound SMTP connections on port 25, and to use port 587 instead.

Resolution:
If you have received this letter, please use port 26 instead of port 25 which will be or already is blocked by Verizon. We have opened up port 26 as an alternative for those ISPs who have decided to block port 25.

If Verizon is blocking port 25 and you are using GlowHost SMTP, using 587 for your GlowHost SMTP will NOT work.

You can use port 587 if you plan on using Verizon's SMTP servers for outbound email. However, most of you will be using GlowHost SMTP servers @your-domain.com so we suggest using 26 instead.
